The Foundation for Winona Area Public Schools is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to enhance educational opportunities in Winona's public schools.
The focus of the Foundation’s board of directors is on soliciting charitable funds which are managed and invested in order to make monthly grants to qualifying requests.
These grants are targeted to co- & extra-curricular programs and projects that go above and beyond mandated curriculum and enhance the learning that goes on in the classroom. However, the Foundation also facilitates support to any area of public school education designated by an interested donor. Recent examples of this include the Hopf Fitness Center, the Miller Mentoring Program and the annual Haake Poetry Prize Competition.
Donations to the Foundation can be made on-line, in person or via mail....in honor or memory of someone or some event, or via a specific financial arrangement such as a will, life insurance policy or trust. |
